Happy "34-Week-Milestone-Marker", Lucy!

The Milestone:

Lucy is officially 34 weeks! Our doctor says we will begin discussing an induction date if she makes it to her next appointment. At our last doctors visit, Lucy shocked about a half dozen doctors-- one of them even said to us she was suprised to still see us here, and she expected we would have lost Lucy a couple months ago...the sweetest part of this? My daughter's soft smile in her ultrasound pictures. This is Lucy's way of saying, "Our Father, he's got this in the bag."

  1. Hello, my name is Amy Campos. I started reading your blog through Mandy Prichard's blog. Your heart inspires me to be a better woman. Your strength and faith makes me look at my own relationship with our Lord. Thank you for pouring your heart out in your blog. It is evident that God's hands are in every part of this bumpy road you are on. Mine and my family's prayers are with you and your family during precious little Lucy's journey. I hope you don't mind us peaking in on your blog and me adding you to my blogroll....you are an amazing Mommy and woman of God.

  6. CONTINUE TO HAVE FAITH!!!!
I stumbled across your blog as another Family Team for the March for Babies (Team MathewSmith). At 16 weeks pregnancy my son was diagnosed with the most severe neural tube defect that was not compatible with sustained life outside of the womb. We were given the choice to terminate or continue the pregnancy with slim chance of an opportunity to meet our son. To us there was not a choice, we would give Mathew (and his twin sister Morgan) every opportunity to grow and meet his family. We had monthly ultrasounds and every month Mathew surprised the doctors but also it became more real to us that we would not have our son. On October 31, 2010 Mathew was born at 1804, 5lbs 15.9oz, 18in and his sweet cries brought immediate tears to my eyes. His sister, Morgan, was born at 1807, weighing in at 5lbs 2.5oz, 17.5in and had a GREAT pair of lungs on her. The next few days we enjoyed every moment with our babies and many friends and family got to meet the babies. We had the most amazing NICU nurses at Memorial Hermann – Memorial City that taught us how to take care of Mathew in preparation for taking him home. Just after midnight, the morning we were to go home from the hospital, exactly 4.25 days after he came into this world we held him in our arms as he left us and became his sisters guardian angel. Those 4.25 days were the most amazing days in my life and I would not have given them up for anything in this world. Yes, I miss my son EVERY day and am so thankful to have his twin still here with us. I just wanted to say to continue to have faith for two reasons…the docs don’t know everything….and these babies are so much stronger than we could ever imagine. We will be praying for your family and we hope to see y’all Sunday.

  7. I am also a member of New Hope and found your blog through Stacy. I just wanted to let you know that my family will be praying for your family and for baby Lucia.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
